The Problem:

Smash Courts quickly became a popular place for a rapidly growing community of those playing pickleball. As interest in the sport surged, they quickly outgrew their single-court offering at their location.

The Solution:

Jody and Jeff recognized the need to expand. After an extensive search and negotiations, they secured a new location—a nearly 33,000-square-foot space on Monaghan Road. The space required major renovations, and Community Futures Peterborough was there once again to help, this time with a flexible business loan to fund their expansion.

Implementation & Results:

Today, Smash Courts has grown into a premier facility featuring more than 12 indoor courts, expanded social spaces, enhanced programming, and a retail pro shop. It is also the region’s only licensed Lululemon retailer. This growth reflects not only the rising popularity of pickleball but also Jody and Jeff’s commitment to making the sport accessible for everyone in the region.
