At The Lake Distributing Inc. is a wholesaler of recreational products for waterfronts, such as docks, boat lifts, floating waterparks, canoes, kayaks, etc.
The Problem:
At The Lake Distributing Inc. needed to improve their sales growth, competitiveness, and access to new markets. Due to the seasonal nature of their business, they also needed to find a way to manage their increased demand during peak season.
The Solution:
Through the Rural Innovation Initiative of Eastern Ontario (RIIEO) program, At The Lake Distributing Inc. received non-repayable, performance-based funding to adopt integrated software solutions and process innovation. They also pivoted from face-to-face sales to an all-digital strategy due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19.
Implementation & Results:
With support from the RIIEO program, At The Lake Distributing Inc. completed a full digital transformation of their business by implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This allowed them to manage a 100% increase in sales, improve their profitability, and hire four additional staff members. Without this funding, they would not have been able to purchase this system and would have been overwhelmed by the increase in demand they experienced.
