Community Futures Peterborough unveils new brand identity honouring the organization’s history while showcasing its modernization

April 03, 2023 – PETERBOROUGH, ON Community Futures Peterborough unveiled its new branding today on social media paying tribute to its funding from the federal government while reflecting a modernized look and redefined strategy for supporting local entrepreneurs.

“Our business focus is to support entrepreneurs through funding and provide them access to capital quickly, easily, and with flexible terms,” says Devon Girard, Executive Director of Community Futures Peterborough. “The look and feel of our organization should reflect this strategic direction while also visually showcasing the care we have for our clients and dedication to their continued growth.”

The rebranding marks the first significant update in the organization’s history and focuses on key visual elements to better align with today’s entrepreneurs, including:

  • The maple leaf. A symbol representing Canada, our people, and our funder, Fed Dev Ontario.
  • The arrow. Subtle imagery demonstrates progress, strength, resilience, and precision through the arrow symbol.
  • The community. Delicate visual representation of hands wrapping around the maple leaf to foster a sense of belonging and connection among clients.
  • The colour of Peterborough. The gold embellishment symbolizes our commitment to providing financial support and accurate advice to local businesses and entrepreneurs.

“Our vision of fostering a vibrant and sustainable business community is strongly reflected in this new brand,” says Board Chair Charlina Westbye. “Our core values of integrity, equality, innovation and change, entrepreneurial and partnership are all visually showcased in a way that better relates to our clients. I couldn’t be prouder of where the organization is headed.”

Community Futures Peterborough worked with local marketing agency Mega Experience Inc., through a comprehensive and structured rebranding process to reflect the organization’s values and commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs. The rebranding also showcases the organization’s dedication to staying current and adapting to the evolving needs of its clients and the business landscape.

The new brand will appear on a revamped website, signage, and all marketing materials over the coming months to be completed for this year’s AGM on Thursday, June 22, where our clients, stakeholders, and members of the public are encouraged to attend.
