Crowe River Studios is located near Havelock. The Studios function as both a private artists’ studio and evolving production space supporting local entrepreneurship, including a new multimedia-design startup Better Creative.
The Studios are located on 65 acres of wooded land, housed within a large modern barn that has been reconverted into a multidisciplinary workspace for environmental art, sculpture, custom furniture from reclaimed materials, as well as woodworking, renovations, multimedia and design. One of the most iconic series that have emerged from the space are the poetic environmental light works called “Earth Skins” by Canadian artist/studio founder Richard Watts, which have shown throughout Canada and the U.S.
